Kustoff Announces Over $900K In HUD Grants To Jackson For Community Development

U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) announced a total of $917,346 in grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under their Community Planning and Development Program. $582,262 will go towards providing housing and a suitable living environment by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income people. $335,084 will go towards expanding the supply of affordable housing to low- and very low-income families by providing grants to fund housing programs that meet local needs and priorities.

"Investments in affordable housing will not only help families in need, but it will expand economic opportunity and job creation in Jackson. I would like to thank HUD Secretary Ben Carson for this investment and ensuring West Tennessee is kept a top priority," said Rep. David Kustoff.
